Apollo came to the Commune in 2021 as an owner-surrender. He is almost completely blind, likely experiencing the world as light and shadow. Apollo’s eyes don’t pain him and he navigates the world well, occasionally using his little paws to pat and feel around when he’s unsure what lies in front of him. At the Commune we firmly believe blind cats are adoptable and can flourish in adoptive homes, however Apollo has one other little quirk: he absolutely refuses to use a litter box. He does kindly confine his activities to one preferred location but because of this preference life at the Commune is just right for him. He enjoys the calm seclusion of Matt and Mimi’s bedroom over the hubbub of downstairs Commune life.
