Butters' Road to Recovery

In May we sent out a plea for emergency assistance to cover medical expenses for Butterscotch Lollipop. One of the biggest risks faced by the Commune’s para cats is injury to a paralyzed body part - a lack of sensation means injuries can go unnoticed. When Mimi noticed a wound on Butters tail she immediately consulted our vets. Unfortunately because the injury had been untreated for several days they determined that the safest course of action was to amputate part of his tail as well as one of his rear legs where he has battled constant drag sores. Our supporters stepped up and Butters’ surgery was performed successfully on May 12. Our boy is recovering well and in good spirits thanks to the kindness and generosity of Catvocates like you raising over $1500 in less than a week. There is no thank you big enough for giving Butters the gift of life, thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.
